Taking over The Edge across Fri 15 and Sat 16 Nov, James Rowland’s Piece of Work presents a spellbinding mix of comedy, storytelling and a dash of Shakespeare’s Hamlet to render a side-splitting yet deeply stirring road trip through his life.

After touring his storytelling theatre shows for years on end, James returns home after a long period away to discover a letter that upends his existence, challenging his deepest sense of self and transforming his next tour not only into a search for the sender, but a grand, defining quest to save a life and discover a true sense of home.

Hailed as an ‘agile, vivid piece of storytelling’ by The Scotsman, James’ ingenious new one-man production promises to delight Chorlton audiences following a critically acclaimed run at this year’s Fringe, as well as sell-out performances of his other shows, Learning to Fly and The Songs of Friendship Trilogy.
