Harpist, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Serafina Steer’s distinctive psych folk has gained her a devoted following. One follower in particular, none other than Jarvis Cocker, was so taken by her 2010 album Change Is Good, Change Is Good that he agreed to produce January’s release, The Moths Are Real. Quirky and subtle, Steer’s harp-oriented sound mixes traditional folky vocals with staggering classical notes and a psychedelic twist. Listen to new single Disco Compilation here and then head down to Soup Kitchen and see the hype for yourself. For more check out the Guardian blog.
