Grammy-winning jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold plays Band on the Wall as part of his April European tour. It is a chance to see live renditions of melodious gems from his second album, Mugician. Harrold has spent much of the past decade forging an all-star CV of recording credits, including playing with Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Joss Stone and Gregory Porter. His own record continues to rub shoulders with the industry’s greats, with the varied dexterities of Pharoahe Monch, Robert Glasper and Georgia Anne Muldrow among his guests on an album that takes its inspiration from the US socio-political divisions particularly emotive in his native Ferguson, Missouri. He cites Prince, Dr Dre and J Dilla among his inspirations while his trumpet playing on the Miles Davis biopic, Miles Ahead, won a Grammy award for Best .
