From late-night exhibitions, festive fun and mesmerising projections to special talks and the return of their wildly popular Pink Floyd show, Jodrell Bank hosts a wondrously inspirational Winter Solstice season from Fri 15 – Fri 22 Dec this Christmas.

Open now and included in the price of admission, the new Visions of the Night Sky exhibition captures the eternal majesty of the universe through a series of nocturnal portraits by acclaimed astronomer, astrophotographer and Jodrell Bank Observatory’s own Head of Computing, Dr Anthony Holloway, whose stunning work spans a a thirty-year career spent gazing at the stars above.

From Sun 7 Jan, Jodrell Bank hosts ‘relaxed mornings’ featuring reduced noise and lighting levels, free with admission. Taking place every first Sunday of the month, the tranquil atmosphere offers audiences the freedom to make noise and move around during enchanting screenings in the Space Dome.

For the budding photographer, Jodrell Bank hosts a series of engaging and insightful astrophotography classes, starting on Wed 28 Feb. Led by resident expert astrophototographer Dr. Anthony Holloway, the sessions provide a unique hands-on experience with the art of space photography, from beginner sessions to an advanced class on Wed 20 Mar for those who wish to hone their skills further. Following the staggering success of their Dark Side of the Moon dome show earlier this year, Jodrell Bank has confirmed the return of the mesmerically immersive Pink Floyd presentation next year in celebration of the seminal record’s 50th anniversary.
