Promising a jam-packed schedule of space adventures for the whole family, Jodrell Bank presents a programme of interstellar intrigue, expert explanations and special screenings this half term.

Budding astronauts are invited to discover the breathtaking First Light Pavilion, gaze into the cosmos, enjoy a picnic under the colossal Lovell Telescope and even learn rocket science.

With screenings twice a day (10.30am, 2.30pm) from Sat 27 May to Sun 4 Jun, Jodrell Bank’s brand new planetarium show We Are Guardians explores our wondrous, interconnected ecosystems at every scale, from nanoscopic bacteria to the world’s largest animals. Using advanced satellite technology, the spectacular film examines the link between human activities and climate change, and considers how we can better protect ‘Spaceship Earth’.

From Mon 29 May to Fri 2 Jun, Earthlings can meet extraterrestrial experts both virtually and in-person, with the chance to ask any question they want about space, astrophysics and the mysteries of the universe.

Tickets for Jodrell Bank start from £8, and if you book in advance, you can visit again free for 12 months. To book your out-of-this-world half term voyage, click here.
