Comedian John Hegley brings his inimitable interactive poetic and musical genius to the Martin Harris Centre on Saturday – and if you don’t already have a ticket then act fast as they are on the very cusp of selling out. After nearly twenty years in the game, the performance poet, comedian, musician and songwriter still brings an air of silliness to his performances and continues to beguile audiences both old and young (he performs a Key Stage 2 event on Friday morning for local schools). A joy to watch, Hegley enchants with his exploration of the mundane – from potatoes to handkerchiefs. Not immediately considered as subjects of comedy gold, in Hegley’s hands anything is possible.
