Returning for its ninth year is Just So – a festival dedicated to children and their families. Taking place in August, the weekend-long event will be held in the grounds of Rode Hall in Cheshire. It has all the things you would want at a grown-ups’ festival, including: music, dance, literature, arts, and theatre. A main stage will present over 20 bands from an eclectic mix of genres, and a woodland theatre will have storytellers and comedians. This rural locale has its own lake, so you can play on boats or simply relax on the beach. New this year is the ‘Playground of Illusions’, an area full of mystery, courtesy of Travelling Light Circus. The centrepiece of the weekend is the Tribal Tournament, a competition with ridiculous games and bonkers challenges. There will be food and drink vendors in attendance, including local favourites Chaat Cart and Ginger’s Comfort Emporium – all serving children’s portions. Capacity is limited to only 5000 people, so book soon.
