Following a meteoric rise to viral fame with their irresistible selection of East Asian corn dogs, London’s Korean street food masters Bunsik have opened for business with a 2,000 square foot outpost in the middle of Piccadilly Gardens.
With queues snaking through the square throughout its opening week, Bunsik arrives in Manchester with its biggest menu yet, promising a wider selection of corn dogs including the Original (premium chicken sausage with a crispy shell), Half & Half (a combination of chicken sausage and stringy mozzarella cheese), Potato Mozzarella (mozzarella cheese wrapped in a batter studded with potato cubes) and the Cheese & Cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan and cheese sauce with more crispy potato cubes).
Other menu highlights include Kimbap (cooked rice, vegetables, fishcake, and meat rolled in gim – dried sheets of seaweed – and served in bite-sized slices); Ddukbokki (cylindrical rice cakes cooked in a spicy sauce); Korean Fried Chicken (tossed in a variety of sauces including sweet and spicy, honey garlic, and dak gangjeong) and Cup Bap rice bowls (Katsu, dak gangjeong and soy chicken), as well as ramyun noodle soup, a variety of Korean chicken burgers and a brand new fluffy, snow-like dessert, Bingsu, exclusive to the Manchester branch.
Alongside the staggering array of street food, Bunsik serves a variety of bubble teas including Matcha Milk Bubble Tea, Chocolate Bubble Tea andStrawberry Green Tea.
