Kosmonaut’s been known to host some pretty marvellous nights round these parts, and now they’ve got a new weekly shindig for their Thursday slot. Crate Diggers of the World Unite aims to take music back to its purest form by celebrating the world of vinyl, bringing together music lovers, great tunes and passionate DJs to enjoy those almost-end-of-week good vibes. Curated by a man who should need no introduction, music coordinator and NQ bigwig Pasta Paul, Thursdays of the coming weeks will feature the personal music collections of local faves Piccadilly Records and Beat Boutique, amongst many others. The night launches with Oi Polloi’s Pica-Sounds, playing a range of vinyl-only disco, Balearic, psych, cosmic, electronic and techno beats, as well as a DJ set from Chris Stocker (Bad Passion).
Launches Thu 10 Oct, Kosmonaut, 10 Tariff Street, M1 2FF, 6pm – 1am, FREE, www.kosmonaut.co.uk
