There are a couple of signs that summer has arrived in Manchester: people wearing shorts, shivering in parks and praying that the sun will come out is one; another is that in a car park somewhere, the Sabai Pavillion is erected and filled with those Ladyboys of Bangkok. This year, it’s Sir Matt Busby Way that takes the prestigious honour of putting them up, as they take new show Glamorous Amorous on the road for the first time. Featuring their usual blend of cabaret, good humour and immaculate costumes, this year’s iteration features and entire new set of songs – though we’re sure a couple of glasses of wine from the in-tent bar will take the edge off listening to Gangnam Style and Cheryl Cole. There’s a reason the tour consistently sells out, regardless of where in the country it travels to: the authentic Thai kitchen they take with them being one among the many.
