The award-laden Parlour in Chorlton has a few slots lefts during the Christmas party season. Their deluxe festive menu costs £22.50 pp and it’s available to book between now and 24 December. Starters include venison pie with sticky red cabbage and bone marrow jus and a dark ale and onion soup with mature cheddar rarebit toast. The main event is the Parlour’s award-winning roast (they’ve won ‘best roast’ in the UK on several occasions, including taking top roast at the OFM awards), while desserts might include gingerbread pudding with rum and tangerine custard or hand made chocolate truffles. After Christmas, they’re turning the dining pub dial up to 11 for a New Year’s Eve steak night special. With ribeye, fillet and sirloin and more provided by the one of the NW’s most respected butchers (WH Frost) with locally churned ice cream and cheese for afters, this is new year without the hassle. As part of both meals, veggies can enjoy the region’s finest nut roast (so good it’s an option we often go for even though we’re not vegetarian). The New Year’s Eve event has two sittings (6-7pm start, £27.50/8.30-9pm start, £32.50), with the second guaranteed to stay for the bells of midnight and including glasses of both Malbec and Prosecco. Call to book below, or email via the website.
