Here’s an excellent double-headliner party at Band on the Wall, as reggae royalty Yellowman and Dillinger take to the stage, backed by The Sagittarius Band. Yellowman is arguably one of the most influential Jamaican artists of all time, with 1982’s Zungguzungguguzungguzeng becoming one of the most recognisable, and most sampled, tracks to come out of this period of dancehall. Still going strong at the grand old age of 58, his appearance on the soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto 5 should bring a whole new audience to the legendary toaster. Another legend, Lester Bullock – aka. Dillinger – will be rounding out this toasting masterclass. Probably most well-known for Cocaine In My Brain, Bullock worked with the likes of Augustus Pablo and formed a deadly partnership with Coxsone Dodd. This’ll be a great chance to see two performers who have been doing the business for many, many years. Tickets probably aren’t going to stick around too much longer – so book now.
