So what if it’s a school night? All are welcome at The Lowry’s hub The Dock, open late during Week 53 festival with live music and DJs, a specially designed bar and limited-edition exclusive beer, and a series of ‘spontaneous’ art interventions designed by award-winning artist David Shearing. An expert at immersive multimedia environments and spaces, both intimate and spectacular, Enough Of The Theatrics will see David create a dramatic world of play and party using neon, lasers, balloons and confetti. Taking over unusual spaces, backstage and a reimagined backstage Dock space (the hidden heart of the Lowry and late-night festival hub), Enough… will celebrate the awkwardness, anxiousness and freedom of coming of age which is the Festival’s theme for 2018. Launching on Friday 18 May  – and open on Saturday 19 May, The Dock will then run from next Wednesday until the end of Week 53 and a closing party finale until midnight on Monday 28 May.
