Launch party: The Art of the Brew at The Refuge Arms (at the Refuge)

To launch the new basement pub The Refuge Arms below the Principal Hotel’s The Refuge, sister bar Volta and Didsbury drink specialists The Epicurean are joining forces with Magic Rock and Thornbridge breweries for a tap takeover of epic proportions. As well as serving up the finest craft ale in the land, the two passionate brewers are set to unveil their exclusive new brew – Exaltation Session IPA 5.5% – while live music is provided by John Ellis (who’s worked with everyone from The Cinematic Orchestra to Lily Allen) and there will be a DJ set from Lord Chester. To grab the first pour of the new collaboration, book tickets for a meet the brewer session from 6pm. Doors open to everyone from 8pm for the entertainment and continued tap takeover.
