What entices you to an exhibition? If it’s space and bums then please read on. For two nights this week, Kraak Gallery will be taken over by Manchester School of Art Foundation Diploma holders for an exhibition of mix-media, encompassing video and sculpture. With intent on showing works away from the safe and regulated environment of the Art Foundation Degree Show, the subject matter is loosely based on human functions; the chemical, physical and emotional kinds. There are etchings and photography that explore the tension created by the human body, and help enlisted from plants and paintings to analyse senses of freedom and happiness. The opening party on Thursday carries the promise of free booze and DJs, but did you really need more of a reason to explore this?

Thu 7 & Fri 8 Aug, Kraak Gallery, 11 Stevenson Square, M1 1DB, 5pm – 9pm & 9pm – late (launch party on Thu), 11am – 3pm (Fri), FREE, www.facebook.com
