Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (a.k.a The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue) by cult director Jorge Grau is a film whose fright derives from a simple insect killing device that… actually brings zombies back to life. This 1970s slice of scare is a Spanish-Italian classic whose chilling soundtrack was composed by Giuliano Sorgini – and it’s not light-years behind from 2014’s Last Ex record, if you’re interested in horror soundtracks. It’s disturbing, scary, and pretty damn cool and has Manchester in the title – do you need more of an incentive to watch a horror movie at Band on the Wall? Thought not. Filming locations include the Lake District and Manchester Cathedral. Finders Keepers Records founder and iconic DJ, Andy Votel, is booked to do an introduction to the film. Afterwards, he’ll be spinning some suitably spooky records from his epic collection. Food included is a selection of three curries. There will also be specially-blended Zombie cocktails on offer for £5 a go.
