The organisers of the weekly Levenshulme Market are hosting a special event to launch the area’s Food & Drink Festival later this month. This one-off evening market will feature 50 stalls selling street food and artisan produce. Street food vendors will present a wide range of world cuisine, including Mediterranean, South American, Tex Mex, and even Burmese. British classics will provided by Robert Owen Brown, formerly of the Mark Addy, and artisan foods include wild game, rare-breed meats, and award-winning sausages will be available to take home. There will be free activities for kids from 3pm, including Mehndi skin decoration and face painting, while local bands will be providing a musical accompaniment before the official festival launch at 6.30pm. The two-week long Levenshulme Food & Drink Festival will feature 30 events across various locations in the local district.
