After last week’s storms caused the first Christmas Levy Market of the year to be postponed, the Saturday market is back with a bumper edition of its weekly celebration of local produce and makers. This week’s market will focus on food and drink with the addition of gift vendors selling everything from woollen jumpers to leather goods, cards and jewellery. Foodie highlights include organic and seasonal fruit and veg sellers, Mio Pizza, mead from Mead-Ho! (who can resist such a name?), Preesall Preserves, Parched Tea Bar and chocolate specialists, In Truffle We Trust. For that special something, be sure to check out the Old Northern Candle Co for homemade aromatics, vintage homewares from Retro Morano and crocheted babywear from Bundle of Wonderfuls. This week’s market includes live music, and is hosting a get together of local small business owners. So why not head down and meet the people doing something cool on your doorstep, while picking up a few Christmas presents at the same time?
