Limbo Radio is back on Fri 20 Sep after a brief hiatus from broadcasting. 48-hours of freeform radio transmission is scheduled to relaunch to a new season of Limbo, which is also the first live broadcast from Limbo’s new studio in Downtex Mill above Salford’s club Hidden. They have tapped a range of guest selectors to mark the occasion, including Hessle Audio’s Bruce, the mighty DJ Python, 96 Back, BFTT, OK Williams and Ruf Dug. The relaunch, running non-stop between noon on Fri 20 Sep until 12:00pm on Sun 22 Sep, also features MLE, Clemency, Sofie K, Alexis and Meat Free’s AALICE. It will signal the start of a new season for the station, who have been regularly broadcasting from 7pm to 11pm since 2016. According to the station’s social media, the revamp promises “a new studio, website, residents, merchandise and also new broadcasting hours” – Limbo Radio will now be on air every day from 4pm to 10pm. Other highlights from the opening session include Limbo regulars Sonice, Hanz, Yant and Izzy Bolt. Plus there will be the usual presence from local collectives and promoters, All Hands On Deck, B.L.O.O.M, Strange Riddims and High Hoops.

Limbo’s Connor Cooper commented on the anticipated relaunch: “After a long summer off air, everyone here at Limbo Radio is itching to get back on the airwaves and showcase everything that we have been up to. We want to get people to stop missing a trick with Manchester and see that the city is a strong beating heart filled with endless talent in every field. We’ve taken time to collaborate with even more show producers, studio hands, graphic designers, videographers and photographers to continue to show off just what this city has to offer.”

The independent station started broadcasting in 2016 from Fallowfield in South Manchester and has since welcomed notable guest DJs such as Machine WomanMarshall JeffersonVolvox, and Djrum.
