Little Angel Theatre’s new family show at HOME Manchester turns the story of Red Riding Hood on its head by taking the wolf’s point of view. But rather than being the fierce and hungry wolf every child knows, the star of the show is actually a rather gentle kind of wolf, with a broken heart. The production company, Little Angel Theatre, will be familiar to those who saw Wow! Said the Owl at HOME last year. Theatre goers can expect more of the same, gentle fun this time around with a show punctuated by the inventive use of props, puppets and flights of fancy. Recommended for ages 6+, Red Riding Hood and the Wolf is around an hour long, with no interval. Star of the show is accomplished physical theatre performer and puppeteer, Charlotte Croft. We’re lucky enough to have a set of family tickets (two adults, two children) to give away to the performance of your choice (depending on what’s available as a number of performances have sold out) and extra tickets for other children can be bought at a cost of £6.50 per ticket.
