Live A/V Social with Ital and Aurora Halal at The Dancehouse

The Manchester clubbing community best knows Wet Play as a hedonistic and psychedelic exploration of nu disco, boogie and tripped out house. Often featuring the finest live music from across the psych inspired dancefloor spectrum, Wet Play’s live presentations are increasingly some of the most interesting on the local calendar.

For one night only this bank holiday weekend, they are taking a step further and presenting a full live audiovisual experience in the more formal setting of the Dancehouse theatre. Performing live will be Aurora Halal and Ital. Aurora Halal is best known for her work in the group Innergaze, and for her film-making for Vice. Her visual style incorporates analogue media and double exposure techniques to create otherworldly and confusing imagery, which appropriately mirrors the live music elements of her work in groove based dance music.

From Brooklyn, NYC, Daniel Martin-McCormick has worked with a number of different groups and music styles, including being the lead singer of respected punk group Black Eyes. Under the Ital moniker, his blend of synth pop and house production with creative sampling techniques is set to compliment the Wet Play aesthetic appropriately, and the rich history of musical influence that has helped shape the artists current direction should be an attraction for any discerning fan of quality, modern dance music.

Resident Wet Play DJs will also be performing.
