Refurbished by former Marketing Manchester boss Nick Johnson, this warm and woody new food court opened in September adjacent to Altrincham’s existing undercover market. Aimed and food fans and families, it’s turned out to be one of 2014’s food success stories. Located around the edge of a historic market hall, filled with German beer hall-style bench seating and cosy new wood flooring, you’ll find a permanent selection of food vendors including Wire favourites like Honest Crust pizza, Black Jack craft brewery and Reserve Wines (the one in Didsbury owned by Kate Goodman, wine expert on BBC’s Food & Drink show). With a cool play area for the children to one side, fine music, a warm atmosphere and plenty of people, the new market hall is proving to be a draw for Altrincham. Friends of Manchester Wire’s who’ve visited to date have returned with glowing reports about the food provision, decoration and general good vibes. Watch this space for a full review soon.
