This November, Lost Atoms explores the ways in which memory shapes our understanding of love through the story of a transformative relationship at Lowry.

Fresh from sell-out tours of Othello and Metamorphosis, Frantic Assembly return with a hilarious and heartrending new play for its 30th anniversary year, written by Anna Jordan (Succession, Killing Eve).

Billed as a witty yet tender meditation on reminiscence, connection and relationships, Lost Atoms follows two reunited ex-lovers who delve into their shared pasts and reflect on an infinite expanse of unrealised futures, contemplating the complexities of their time together while re-examining the reality of their bond without rose-tinted glasses, from the toxicity and misunderstandings to the euphoria and unbridled optimism.

Running from Tue 11 to Sat 15 Nov, the Olivier-winning company’s latest production unpacks the ways in which time affects memory, and how memory recalibrates our conception of devotion, while asking what truly makes a successful relationship.

Frantic Assembly have recently unveiled the stellar cast for the show, with Hannah Sinclair Robinson (Metamorphosis, UK tour; The Play That Goes Wrong, West End) starring alongside Joe Layton, who arrives directly from the nearby cobbles of Coronation Street following his captivating turn as the brilliantly menacing killer, Mick Michaelis.

“Frantic Assembly have been rewriting the rulebook for nearly three decades…” – The Times
