Lot No: Conceptual art auction at Cape Dunn’s

The idea of an art auction is one we’re all comfortable with – there are long running daytime TV shows deal entirely with the matter that have been half-watched by millions. It’s difficult to imagine the experts on Flog It being able to get their heads around this, though: the Lot No. project is a new idea, in which local and establish artists auction off their art. However, rather than paintings, vases or sculpture, the creatives in question will be selling off performances, concepts, essays, curatorial devices and various other miscellany in their entirety. The full list of works won’t be confirmed until closer to the day, but a list of confirmed artists has been released (see them below) – this promises to be a truly memorable evening, and one in which you could come home with a piece of art much wilder than whatever is hanging on your living room wall.
