This May, Peripeteia Theatre Company take over The Edge with Bren Gosling’s spellbinding new production, LOVE, a vibrant, and heartwarming exploration of fatherhood, acceptance and the transcendent power of familial bond.
Fresh from the roaring success of five-star smash-hit The Human Voice, LOVE transports audiences back to 2014 to find no-nonsense father Mac, a man who believes he’s mastered all there is to know about parenthood having single-handedly raised his two daughters, Em and Jess.
When Joanie, a person from Mac’s past, who’s been absent for two decades, arrives abruptly at his doorstep with a revelation, his world collapses around him, as he struggles to react to the sudden bombshell before scrambling for a way to tell his children.
Having studied playwriting with John Burgess, Bren Gosling has enjoyed an illustrious career in which his plays have had successful runs at King’s Head Theatre, RADA Studios, and New Wimbledon Studio, as well as picking up two Offie nominations and an OnComm commendation.
