Tucked away near Sadler’s Yard, The Old Bank Residency has already established an amazing community through previous projects PLANT NOMA and The Pilcrow and now can add feeding the masses to that with new initiative ‘One Dish Room’. Open every Friday at noon, artist and chef Joe Whitmore will be serving up a single seasonal vegan dish for your delectation for only £4 in the heart of the creative studio environment. With an eye on increasing sustainability across the studio, One Dish Room works with seasonal ingredients and looks to local vendors for all produce; lentils, pulses, spices and seasonal vegetables are purchased from McCalls’ Organics, and fresh bread is delivered by hand and warm from the oven by down-the-road neighbours Noi Quattro. They are also part of food waste reduction app Too Good To Go, to ensure every portion is served and enjoyed. A cheap, guilt-free meal right on your doorstep to help kickstart your weekend.
