Didsbury Makers Market returns this Sunday. Expect the best in street food, vintage finds, fashion, crafts, artwork and much more, not forgetting loads of food and booze to take home (if it makes it home), all supplied by the best independent traders. The market launched in West Didsbury in May 2014 and it’s really blossomed, expanding to include over 100 stalls. This month’s fiesta includes pink gin from Salt and Spice, DIY Pizza kits from Dough It Yourself and award-winning cheeses from Cheshire Cheese. Meat lovers will enjoy a choice from the Great North Pie Company (Supreme Champions of the British Pie Awards 2015!) while local independent butchers, 3 Little Pigs, make their market debut. For a sweet treat use your nose to track down The Dish that Ran Away with the Spoon’s fresh doughnuts or grab a luxurious cone of salted caramel and peanut ice cream from Ginger’s Comfort Emporium. There’s a devoted street food arena too. After something more decorative? Pick up a Manchester skyline from SLS Scott or make a choice from a wide selection of photography and art. Look out for Kitcha’s vintage maps, while for vintage clothes head over to new trader, Retro Clobber and explore everything the modern garden could need from the likes of Hillside Herbs, Shrubbies Plants and trendy indoor terrariums from The Glass Gardener. Two musical stages make shopping a joy, including all day sets from the Loose Change Buskers. See you down the front.
