Manchester and Liverpool are putting aside their famous rivalry and coming together for a very special event this month. The North Will Rise Again is a live-streamed micro festival taking place over the weekend of Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 March. With both cities owning a long and successful musical history – bands and artists from these two great northern powerhouses will unite to highlight the damage caused by COVID-19 to our live music scene and everyone involved.

Going live over two evenings from 7:30pm – Saturday 27 March will be streamed from Liverpool’s Invisible Wind Factory where Lightning Seeds, Red Rum Club and Zuzu will be performing sets. Sunday 28 will be hosted by much-loved Manchester venue Gorilla as The Charlatans, Ist Ist and Liines take the stage. Virtual tickets are priced at £10 per evening (which includes 48 hour anytime replay) and further exclusive merch bundles are also available.

The proceeds from this event will go towards the charities Liverpool Music House and The Music Venue’s Trust #SaveOurVenues campaign – whilst also providing work for independent venues, production staff and film crews in both cities. Tune in for a good cause as musicians join hands and hearts across the M62.
