Manchester Antique Textile Fair celebrates 25 years in the game at the end of April 2017. An extra special fair is taking place at its usual venue of the Armitage Centre, in Manchester University’s Fallowfield Campus. There will be over 130 stands selling vintage and antique clothes, costumes, textiles, laces and linen – from all over the world. The event also celebrates the centenary of Lucienne Day, an influential British designer who took inspiration from other arts to create her own style of abstract pattern-making. Drop into talks during the day discussing Day’s work and legacy by guest speakers including Henry Holland, creator of the House of Holland label. A limited number of advance tickets are available online, via the link below.
