More than 11,000 art enthusiasts will descend on the city once again this November, as Manchester Art Fair returns to Manchester Central with its most ambitious, inclusive and eclectic edition yet.

The three-day event, curated with an aim to provide a welcoming, unpretentious and proudly Northern art-buying experience, has become one of the UK’s leading art fairs since launching in 2008, and has been shortlisted for Most-Loved Event in the I Love MCR Awards.

Over 170 exhibitors have been confirmed for this year, presenting work by more than 600 artists across painting, sculpture, print, photography and mixed media, with applications reaching record levels. The 2025 programme promises one of the strongest and most diverse line-ups to date, with art fair veterans showcasing work alongside an assortment of galleries and artists making their debut.

Among the returnees are Manchester-based Saul Hay Gallery, one of the foremost contemporary galleries in the North West, alongside Linton 59 Gallery’s bold, textured and expressionist works, and Hidden Gallery’s collection of original and limited edition work by some of the most famous names in 20th and 21st Century art.

Individual artists include Laura Jordan, whose works range from paintings and sculpture to photography and editioned prints. Elsewhere, Zoe Anker merges silk screen printing with her deep passion for contrasting colours, geometric shapes, layering, and mark-making to craft distinctive and captivating forms.

Alongside the vast array of exhibitors, visitors can look forward to a rich programme of artist talks, workshops and live demonstrations. Hot Bed Press will once again host a dedicated printmaking space, while Cass Art provide creative activities for younger visitors, offering an accessible all-ages introduction to crafts and artistry.

Featuring alongside Manchester Art Fair is The Manchester Contemporary, a unique space to discover and collect critically engaged contemporary artists. The Manchester Contemporary presents a carefully curated selection of independent galleries and artist-led spaces from across the UK and internationally, platforming new work by emerging artists. Exhibiting galleries include The Sunday Painter, ARCADE, Copperfield, Seventeen & Kate MacGarry.

Manchester Art Fair opens with a special Preview Evening on Fri 21 Nov from 5pm-9pm, before continuing on Sat 22 Nov (10am-6pm) and Sun 23 Nov (10am-4pm).
