More than 13,000 art enthusiasts will descend upon the city this November, as Manchester Art Fair returns with its biggest lineup to date.

The three-day event, which prides itself on ‘creating a friendly, unpretentious and quintessentially Northern art-buying experience’ has become one of the leading and largest art fairs in the UK since its inception back in 2018.

A uniquely diverse mix of acclaimed galleries and independent artists will feature alongside a rich programme of artist talks, panel discussions, performances and installations.

This year the event, which organisers say has been ‘designed for the collector, curator and simply curious’, will feature more new exhibitors than ever before, with over a third of all exhibitors making their inaugural appearance.  They will feature alongside returning galleries and artists, all of whom will also be showing new works.

Fair Director, Sophie Helm, said: “The number of applications for this year’s edition surpassed all expectations, making for an extremely challenging selection process. The final list of exhibitors is incredibly strong, presenting a more diverse range of work than ever before with a third of all exhibitors making their inaugural appearance at Manchester Art Fair”.

Joining those selected to exhibit for the first time are Francis Iles Gallery with an eclectic mix of UK and international artists and Linton 59 Gallery showing work whose style is derived from a love of colour, texture and expression.

Among the individual artists, Alec Cummings is one of many highlights — his work is inspired by time spent in India, capturing fleeting moments from the world onto canvas. Elsewhere, Zoe Anker merges silk screen printing with her deep passion for contrasting colours, geometric shapes, layering, and mark-making to craft distinctive and captivating forms.

Manchester Art Fair will take over Manchester Central from Fri 15 Nov – Sun 17 Nov. For the full list of galleries and artists participating in this year’s event, and to book your tickets, click the button below.
