Manchester’ bi-monthly art walk returns with visits to three city centre galleries this week. Beginning at Manchester Art Gallery, where curator Fiona Corridan will introduce current temporary exhibition The First Cut (see our preview), the walk continues on to Untitled Gallery where gallery director Katie Rutherford will talk about setting up the contemporary gallery space under the Friends’ Meeting House, plus its current exhibition As it Transpired by Victoria Lucas (see our preview). The two-hour event will end at Cornerhouse, with programme manager Bren O’Callaghan providing a short introduction to David Shrigley’s popular HOW ARE YOU FEELING? show (see our preview). Every other month, Manchester Art Walk gives art fans the chance to catch several current exhibitions in one evening. Participants this month can warm up in Cornerhouse’ bar after the walk, with a glass of mulled wine or an orange hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, plus a mini chocolate yule log or mince pie, for £3.95. Email Jennifer Dean to book.

Thu 6 Dec, begins at Manchester Art Gallery, Mosley Street, M2 3JL, Tel: 0161 235 8888, 5.30pm, £4, manchesterartwalk.wordpress.com
