After opening with a set from Erick Morillo last week Lazy Lizard continues to bring Ibizan vibes to the city, this time by piggy backing on Manchester Arena’s Ibiza Classics night with DJs playing out the original club bangers upon which Pete Tong’s orchestra is basing their night on.

Fri 15 Dec / Swing Ting 9th Birthday and Junction EP launch @ Soup Kitchen / 11pm-5am
The Junction EP is a glorious snapshot of Manchester music as 2017 draws to a close, and Samrai and Platt celebrate its release coinciding with their ninth birthday. Playing records are Anz back to back with Amy Becker, Brackles, Epic B and residents with Fox on the mic and there’s a late license ’til 5am.

My own concoction of sounds (named for the Erykah Badu track not the Mariah one!) in the fabulous Hold Fast basement, probably with a bit of Christmas hip hop and salsa thrown in. But definitely no Christmas classics.
