December’s not a great time for mid-week raving, so you’ll have to wait until Friday, where BPM cap off a strong year with another showcase of an up-and-coming UK label. This time, it’s the turn of Stanza, of True Tiger fame, and his Stripes Records crew. He’s joined by Kinzy and Monkey Wrench – plus the party-ready BPM residents – for what promises to be a top night of all things grimy and bass-heavy.

Sat 6 Dec | Mista Stretch’s Birthday Bash | Element 19
Some proper legends of the Manchester scene playing near Deansgate Locks this Saturday, with the likes of Unity Radio’s Doctor C and Peace FM’s DJ Silva representing alongside Stretch himself. Expect the best in upfront hip-hop, bashment and garage, with plenty of classics thrown in for good measure. These guys have been doing it for years and years – the levels will be high.

Obscure marks three years in the game with another solid booking in the shape of Paris resident French Fries. A favourite with the Night Slugs crowd, FF is the leading light in an extremely powerful and influential French club scene. On top of this, there’s talk of a bonus appearance from a previous Obscure favourite – but that’s going to remain a secret until things kick off. Tickets are already on their final release, so move quickly if you want in on this!
