Thu 7 May – Brooklyn & Beyond ft James Priestley @ Soup Kitchen
Start the weekend early at Soup, as B&B bring one of the key players behind London’s legendary secretsundaze events – James Priestley. If you think about it, Thursday’s kind of the same as a Sunday anyway, so the vibes should be pretty appropriate. Joining Priestley on the night will be residents from another Manchester party – Hi Ku. The first run of advance tickets are already gone, so act quickly if you want to guarantee entry.

Fri 8 May – Chow Down ft Deadboy @ Soup Kitchen
Apologies for the back-to-back Soup Kitchen double-header, but it’s arguably the best club in Manchester right now. Friday’s edition showcases two of Local Action’s shining lights in the form of Deadboy (celebrating the release of his White Magick EP) and a club debut for Yamaneko, whose Pixel Wave Embrace album caused a stir at the end of last year. Warm up/warm down duties are in the hands of Chow Down’s ever-capable residents Fallow, Marcx and Craig AD.

Fri 8 May – P Money and Logan Sama @ South
Huge night for the grime heads at South, with two massive headliners – one MC at the top of his game and one DJ who’s been instrumental in the scene for years and years and years. This one should be worth it for Sama’s extended 2 hour set alone, but they’ll also be joined by one of Manchester’s many rising MCs, Bugzy Malone. Tickets aren’t cheap now, but if grime’s your thing, this one’s for you.

Sat 9 May – Levelz @ The Roadhouse
With the clock ticking for one of Manchester’s most iconic venues, Levelz have been invited to take over The Roadhouse for what will be one of the last ever Saturday nights in that basement. With a selection of some of Manchester’s finest DJs and MCs, expect the usual grime/d&b/everything else-based shenanigans – guaranteed to be messy in the best possible way.
