Fri 9 Sep – Summit @ Band On The Wall
Band On The Wall hosts a new clubbing project from one of the city’s global representatives,
MC DRS. The night describes itself as a ‘journey of bass music discovery’, refreshingly unwilling to pigeonhole itself and an ideal venue to do so, having one of the best sound systems about. The premiere night sees Children Of Zeus grace the stage – Tyler Daley and Konny Kon have smashed it with their debut single Still Standing, filling a much needed gap in street soul / hip hop. Metalheadz repper, DRS collaborator and regular Soul:ution selector Lenzman drops in – plus expect an ultra-special guest.

Manchester’s hip hop power duo, Oscar Wildstyle and Wiggy Smalls, see off the summer in style with fresh and classic R’n’B, hip hop and bashment.

Fri 9 Sep – The Flipside w/ Dr Kruger (NTS Radio) @ Fallow
The Flipside is one of south Manchester’s hidden gems, a monthly shindig down at Fallow Cafe. Residents Omas and Orko (of the At Large crew) team up with Joe In Ohio (from the excellent Flyin’ Easy club night) to bring slabs of deep, rare soul to your ears. This month they’re joined by NTS Radio’s Dr Kruger, known for both his show House Call and his new London-based club night, Colour One Tear Black.

Fri 9 Sep – Psychedelic Disco Tech’s Through the Mill After Party @ 1 Primrose Street
Psychedelic Disco Tech throw homegrown parties spinning house, disco and techno psych vibes. They celebrate the end of the opening day of Ancoats’ Through The Mill weekend, which sees two days of live music, spoken word, tours of the area, art, food, craft beer and more. Spinning on the night will be Stephen Corrie (Unity Radio), Simon Tonkinson (Eastern Bloc and PDT), Sankey’s resident Rob Bright and PDT resident Daz Griffiths.

Sat 10 Sep – Banana Hill with Marcellus Pittman and Cervo @ Soup Kitchen
Marcellus Pittman flies in from Detroit to chill with the Banana Hill gang, known for their carnival style, all genre parties which placed them in Gilles Peterson’s top club nights of 2015. First coming to light with co-productions on Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature label, Pittman has collab’d with some of the best Detroit has to offer. Banana Hill co-founder Cervo, one to catch regardless of the occasion and recently foraying into production himself, co-headlines.

Sat 10 Sep – Transmission Garden Party @ Hidden
A monster 12-hour party from the Transmission crew, as a little bit of Peckham visits Manchester. Two Rhythm Section stalwarts drop in: label and club founder Bradley Zero, and pal Henry Wu – they’re joined by Transmission, Zutekh and Flow Motion DJs.

Sun 11 Sep – The Havana Sessions at The Deaf Institute
Following a successful inaugural event at Gorilla, The Havana Sessions turns The Deaf Institute into a Latin carnival with tropical sounds from So Flute, Patch (Piccadilly Records), Bobby Turner (Reform Radio), the omnipresent Swindells and your friendly neighbourhood Manchester Wire writer, Agent J.
