Jon Richardson | The Lowry | Mon 29 – Wed 31 Jun | 8pm | £24
Another week, another long stay at The Lowry for one of the UK’s best comics, after Stewart Lee’s four night stint last week it is now Jon Richardson’s turn to take up residence in The Lyric Theatre this time for a lesser, but still impressive three nights. The non-more-dry Richardson will be showcasing his brand new material as he gets back to the stage for the first time since 2014’s Nidiot and appearing on all of the panel shows ever. A sardonic treat not to be missed, and you’ve got three chances to catch it.

Paul Foot | Gorilla | Sat 3 Jun | 7.30pm | £15/13
Surreal comedy fans rejoice! For your king has returned to the citadel. The ruler of weird wordplay Paul Foot comes back to Manchester to headline a frankly astonishing line up of live comedy. Alongside Foot is the polar opposite in the straightforward righteous ire of Canadian Tom Stade who’ll be calling it like he sees it with all the fire of a man twenty years his junior but with the insight of a cantankerous old wizard. Holding the whole thing together is the handsome and charming filth of Ed Gamble to make for a very impressive night of stand up no matter what your flavour.
