Control Panel | The Castle | Tue 13 Jun | 8pm | £5/3
The second installment of Jack Evans homemade yet intergalactic panel show features the comic talents of Harriet Dyer, James Meehan and Kate McCabe alongside his furry alien puppet pal portrayed by Jade Fearnley. The ludicrous sci-fi premise for the quiz is a non too subtle swipe at the Brexit nonsense that continues to envelop every news cycle, so why not watch a comedy panel show in which the whole thing is an imaginary galactic debacle with zero Boris Johnson instead of a very real one that features loads of the thinking man’s idiot.

The Not So Late Show | The Castle | Thu 15 Jun | 7.30pm | £5
After confusing and delighting their audience in Leeds for the last few years Ross Brierley and Josh Sadler bring their meta-late night talk show ‘The Not So Late Show with Ross and Josh’ to The Castle this week. With a mix of chat, character comedy, stand up and some excellent filmed sketches including the instant classic ‘What’s Jon Hamm’s beef?’ and the viral sensation of ‘UK Garage Horse Racing’ Ross and Josh are quickly cementing themselves as a comedy duo to be reckoned with reminiscent of the bizarre instincts of a young Vic and Bob.

The Glang Show | The Castle | Sun 18 jun | 7.30pm | £5
Another show at The Castle that is at once difficult to put into any particular comedy box The Glang Show is…. well, it just is. It exists. The brainchild of avant garde huckster Sean Morley and the Samular half of sketch siblings Sam & Tom, Sam Nicoresti it’s never quite clear what The Glang Show is, only that it is happening and it is hilarious. Billing itself as an anti-competition this race to the bottom is an interactive nightmare of a shambles but one that you will surely want to witness first hand and then clumsily explain the brilliance to co-workers and pals the next day. But they won’t know man. They weren’t there.
