Gein’s Family Giftshop | Mon 3 Apr | Kosmonaut | 8.15pm | FREE
Monday is always a tough sell for a comedy night. Nobody feels much like laughing after a weekend of boozing and cajoling followed by that nightmarish first day back at work. Matt Rees | Tue 4 Apr | The Pub/Zoo | 7.30pm | £5/3
Arguably the least laddish person ever to win an award from now defunct cheb bible Loaded, Matt Rees has come a long way since he won ‘Loaded Lafta New Act of the Year’ also picking up the more prestigious Leicest Mercury Comedian of the Year and a Chortle Awards nomination along the way. The laconic Welshman headlines another top night of XS with Richard Massara, Luke Graves, Rob Oldham and of course MC Toby Hadoke.

The Guilty Feminist (pictured) | Sat 8 Apr | The Dancehouse | 8pm | £15
There aren’t many topics as divisive as the myriad definitions of what feminism is, especially when folks who have widges get involved with the conversation. So it’s perhaps understandable that the topic also carries some degree of guilt for those that feel they are not living up to whatever definition is de riguer. Deborah Frances-White’s podcast looks into just this and has seen guilt induced success not seen since the early days of the Roman Catholic church with over 2,000,000 downloads in its first year. Here she presents the show live with a special guest to discuss what it is to be a good feminist and indeed a good person whilst also being very, very funny.
