Beginning on Sun 11 Sep in conjunction with the relocation of the Northern Quarter Maker’s Market to just outside its Oak Street premises, Manchester Craft and Design Centre will open on every second Sunday of the month 11am – 5pm, with craft activities for all ages alongside a fantastic array of studio spaces selling jewellery, ceramics, homeware, textiles, artwork and much more.

Open as a craft space since 1982, the Centre houses some of the region’s most talented independent designers and makers in 18 studios over the two floors of the former Victorian fish market. Visitors can browse and buy from the makers in person, commission something special, or simply relax and take in the beautiful surroundings of this historical building.

The Northern Quarter Makers Market, also running on the second Sunday of every month, features an expansive range of art, craft, coffee, baked goods, music and street food as well as hundreds of traders offering an eclectic variety of wares.
