Manchester Fashion Movement  are in the business of future-proofing our world through fashion: talking about conscious consumption and how the way that we shop can make a massive difference.
On the evening of Thursday 29 Jul and running until Sunday 1 Aug, they are launching a pop up MFM Department Store at Stretford Mall (in the old Bon Marche ground floor corner site). Visitors can expect to see a range of bespoke brands showcasing the joy of collaboration over competition within a concept store environment. The launch event takes place on Thursday from 7-10pm, with tunes from DJ Danielle Moore (Crazy P) and drinks from Manchester-based conscious wine shop Le Social

This pop up space will have products available to purchase, along with creative workshops and window displays dressed by recent fashion tech graduates of Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Bolton. It’s all happening with support from a host of volunteers from MFM members, local university students and citizens who are on board with the community-first ethos of this community interest company. Everyone involved wants to reiterate that how we shop can most definitely change the world. Shopping for social change? It doesn’t get much better than that.
