Spanish Festejar 2016 in Albert Square
Manchester’s Spanish festival returns to Albert Square from this Thursday, for a whole weekend of fun, food and fiesta. There are a whole host of scheduled masterclasses delivered by chefs from Evuna, El Rincon and Lunya, teaching punters how to cook one of their classic dishes in the demo area. On the main stage, guests can learn how to salsa or tango – or there is the option to simply sit back and relax with some Spanish street food while listening to the live Spanish and Catalan music.

New from Vietshack: Simone’s healthy desserts at Arndale Market
The people behind Arndale Market’s hugely successful Viet Shack are opening a second site called Simone’s. They will be serving healthy versions of favourite desserts, with everything suitable for vegans and gluten free diets. Specialising in raw cakes, they are made up of nuts, fruits and coconut milk, with no flour, butter, wheat, sugar or dairy involved. On the savoury side, they will be serving fusion inspired sandwiches made with homemade sourdough bread and homemade sauces – think Kiwi pesto, spicy peanut and wasabi mayo – plus a 100% carb-free courgette spaghetti option. Also situated in the market, head down to check it out.
