Tariff & Dale opens this weekend
Brought to you by the team behind the Lead Station in Chorlton, new Northern Quarter offering Tariff & Dale (pictured) opens its doors to the public this weekend. Housed in a massive converted Victorian warehouse, there’s an open kitchen serving locally sourced fare, craft brews, classic cocktails and plenty of decent wine.

Castlefield Food Festival
Farmers’ markets, street food stalls, kitchen demos and live music takeover Castlefield this weekend in the area’s first food festival. Some of the city’s finest chefs, including Robert Owen Brown, will be on hand with cooking tips and tricks, and there’ll be plenty of food to try out. Big Star will be dishing up southern USA-style buttermilk chicken, while Roly Poly serve up slow roasted pork seasoned with their own special rub.

Aperol pops up in Albert Square
After a successful summer in Spinningfields last year, the Aperol Spritz bar is back in town for the next couple of months, this time in Albert Square. The Italian aperitif is made with Aperol (a sweeter version of Campari), prosecco and soda, and as well as sampling the cocktail, the pop-up bar will have foosball and ping pong tables – all we need is some sun for a great post-work wind down.
Aperol Spritz Social, Albert Square, Thu 14 – Sat 16 May & Thu 4 – Sat 6 Jun, facebook.com

A collective of nine breweries from across the city – including Blackjack, Marble and Runaway – throw open their doors over the bank holiday weekend for a series of talks, tastings and tours, with an after party at First Chop in Salford.
