Fri 13 May | Qwerk @ Sub101 ft. Jon Pleased Wimmin | 11pm-6am
The gigantic knees-up that is Qwerk returns to Manchester with the brilliant Jon Pleased Wimmin (pictured) taking over the decks. For anyone who’s had half an eye on queer clubbing in the last two decades Jon needs no introduction: as one third of drag troupe The Pleased Wimmin his night Pleased at Velvet Underground was the go-to mid-weekly club in London back in the 1990s and since then he’s played the world over. Expect a real musical journey from a very interesting record box plus Rob Jones and resident Dave Booth.
