Manchester Scenewipe return to the warm, sandals-and-lentils embrace of Withington’s Fuel, with a polished treasure-chest full of hazy audio pleasures. Proudly topping the bill is Aldous RH, solo project of Egyptian Hip Hop’s Alex Hewett, hammering out sounds like a sex dream interrupted by rowing neighbours. Hot on RH’s heels are the mellow synths of local favourites Denson – notionally poppier, but still inaccessible enough to appeal to the purists. And tying the whole thing together is loopy Welsh-Manc experimentalist Llion Swyd, who’ll be on disc-jockeying duties for the evening. So put on your dancing shoes (but don’t use them – it’s not dancing music, really).
