Promising its ‘cheekiest adults-only Late yet’, the Science and Industry Museum hosts Future of Sex: Late on Wed 26 Oct. Free to attend, the Manchester Science Festival headline event features performance, art, workshops and conversation exploring how technology and education are shaping a sexual utopia.

Guests are invited to hone their anatomical knowledge with the Vagina Museum, who are bringing a variety of fun craft activities including ‘gynaecological bunting’, before designing their own ‘perfect companion’, a unique erotic chatbot, in a fascinating workshop which examines the romantic capabilities of artificial intelligence.

From AI to VR, an array of headsets allows visitors to experience a new world of first-date choices with Flirtual, the world’s first virtual reality dating app.

Attendees can sample tantalizing tastes and myth-busting morsels with the team from MetMUnch and discover ‘futuristic fashion with feelings’ in CuteCircuit’s HugShirt, while Anna Phylactic and the Family Gorgeous are on hand to guide guests into the X-rated world of tomorrow.

There will also be a captivating panel of ‘sexperts’ in conversation, with reproductive physiologist Dr. Kim Jonas joining psychology professor Rusi Jaspal, computer scientist and writer Dr. Kate Devlin, multidisciplinary writer Otamere Guobadis and author of Sex, Robots and Vegan Meat, Jenny Kleeman.
