Manchester’s one and only table football club – as far we’re aware – has upped sticks from BrewDog and set up home in Swinton in north west Manchester. The group, which now meets fortnightly at Swinton Leisure Centre, aims to establish one or two teams to compete across the UK and Europe. Manchester Table Football Club will start this new era by sending a team up to the Scottish Grand Prix, one of the first events of the new Federation International of Sports Table Football season. Closer to home, the club host the third stage of the Sliders Tour – a series of four tournaments around the north – on Sat 17 Aug (9.30am, £10 entry – more info). All ages and abilities are welcomed at the Wednesday meetings.
