Milo McCabe | Chorlton Irish Club | Fri 5 Feb | 8.30pm | £10
If your doorstep lays more Chorlton way then good news! As you also get a top night of comedy without having to brave the city centre this time, and even if you are coming from that way they promise to finish the night before the last tram. What a thoughtful bunch. This month sees frantic character comedian Milo McCabe, Dubliner Caimh MCDonnell and Wire fave Kiri Pritchard-McLean with popular host Raymond Mearns. The burbs giving the centre a run for its money.

Bec Hill (pictured)| The Dancehouse | Sat 6 Feb | 8.30pm | £8
Effervescent and impeccably charming Bec Hill is an antipodean cartoonist it’s more than okay to like. Fantastically inventive with her live action storybook cartoons and the holder of one heck of a pun filled mind Hill is fast becoming one of her adopted nation’s favourite stand ups. Her latest Edinburgh was a sell out smash and she will be performing it here at The Dancehouse, just another in a long line of fine shows the Oxford Road playhouse has been putting on of late.
