The hugely popular Northern Vegan Festival returns to Manchester for an even bigger, even better event. Following hour-long queues in previous years, the festival is expanding in 2016, taking over five Northern Quarter venues in the city, with stalls, information, food tastings, live cooking demos and film screenings. As in previous events, the hub will be the Britannia Sachas Hotel in the Northern Quarter, with further events taking place across the road at the Methodist Church Central Hall as well as Thirsty Scholar, Gullivers and Castle Hotel. Booking is highly recommended.

Sat 23 Apr, various venues and prices, 10am-6pm, £3 (under 16s FREE) www.northernveganfestival.com
