Manifest is a new visual arts festival taking place across Manchester and Salford this July. Set up by a group of Manchester-based visual artists, Elisa Artesero, Roger Bygott, and John Lynch the aim of the festival is to show the high-standard of contemporary art that is being produced in these two cities. The festival will be comprised of a series of open studios and exhibitions in a range of venues including John Rylands Library, Islington Mill, Manchester Craft & Design Centre, Paper Gallery, PS Mirabel (pictured) and the recently opened HOME. Through these open studios, visitors will see a side inside the large mills, industrial buildings, and intimate spaces that comprise the post-industrial creative make-up of the city, but that are rarely made public.
